ATLAS Named to World Teleport Association (WTA) 2023 Teleport Awards Finalists
The World Teleport Association (WTA) has announced the finalists for the organization’s 2023 Teleport Awards for Excellence. From this group of finalists, WTA will name the winners at the 28th annual Teleport Awards for Excellence luncheon on March 14 during the SATELLITE conference in Washington, DC. WTA selects its finalists from nominations submitted to the association by both members and non-members. Recipients are selected by a vote of the WTA Membership.
ATLAS Nominated for Via Satellite’s 2022 Satellite Technology of the Year
Each year, Via Satellite magazine and its readers recognize a handful of technologies for either their notable level of innovation, their contribution to the development of the space and satellite industries as a whole, their influence on global events, their notable success in the market, or a combination of these achievements. We’ve nominated six standout technologies for our 2022 Satellite Technology of the Year Award, representing a wide range of products and services in connectivity, imagery, software, and emergency services. The 2022 list also includes our first nomination of a technically non-satellite company.
RSA Signs Partnership with ATLAS Space Operations Inc for Satellite Ground Infrastructure
The Rwanda Space Agency (RSA) and ATLAS Space Operations Inc., a leading American company in satellite communication ground infrastructure, have announced a strategic partnership to utilise a teleport in Rwanda. The teleport will feature a 9.3-meter antenna in different frequency bands capable of servicing spacecraft on lunar missions.The agreement was signed on 21 February 2023 between Mike Carey, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of ATLAS, and Col Francis Ngabo, CEO of RSA, to allow ATLAS to extend its network of global ground stations in Sub-Saharan Africa with the capability to support lunar missions.

Today, Quindar is proud to announce our partnership with ATLAS Space Operations. The integration of Quindar Mission Planning and the ATLAS Freedom™ Platform allows our customers to skip the network and API integration and immediately reserve and simulate satellite contacts with the ATLAS network. Typical customers can save months in development and integration time through this turnkey solution. Within Quindar, customers can set the number of contacts, minimum contact time, maximum time between contacts and Quindar Mission Planning will automatically maintain that capacity while allowing customers to select specific additional passes.
